Instead of wasting money on chemical-laden baby wipes, try one of the recipes below to make your own baby wipe solution.

Keep damp wipes in a wipes warmer (the kind that plugs in), or keep a stack of dry wipes and squirt your solution on the wipe before wiping baby. Another idea is to fill a thermos with hot water in the morning and you'll have warm water for wipes all day long. You mix up just as much of your solution as you need for the day.

You can buy baby wipes or make your own from an old terry robe, old flannel shirts or long underwear. Just serge the edges.

If you prefer to use paper towels, use only Bounty paper towels. The best way to cut the roll in half is with an electric knife. Gently remove cardboard tube and place roll end up in a container with lid (such as Tupperware) to seal and hold the moisture in. Make mixture you desire and slowly pour around over the end of paper towel. Let sit overnight and it's ready to use.
